SETT is a Series B company building agentic AI for marketing teams at mobile game studios. As it grew, infrastructure work that had been spread across the engineering team started pulling engineers away from the product.
SETT now runs two kinds of work through Dave. Every new feature that needs new infrastructure goes to Dave, and so does cost optimization. When costs spiked, Dave traced the cause and SETT cut its infrastructure costs by 20%. A major platform change planned with Dave made agent serving about twice as fast. Infrastructure work had no single owner
Before Dave, infrastructure work cut across SETT's engineering team. Onboarding a customer to a data pipeline, investigating an access issue, or checking whether an old database could be retired meant someone had to gather the context and work through the next steps. Across those tasks, the team spent around 12 hours of engineering time each week.
SETT looked at external services of all sorts. As a company building agentic products, it wanted an agentic answer to this need as well.

Yoni Blumenfeld, SETT's co-founder and CTO, heard about Dave from friends in the industry and contacted Sean, Dave's co-founder. What stood out was the combination: an agent that does the work, backed by human engineers when the work needs them.

Dave takes on SETT’s infrastructure work in the environment SETT already uses: AWS, GitHub, and its data pipelines. Dave plans, advises, designs the architecture, and opens the pull requests. SETT’s engineers review them and approve what goes to production.
SETT needed to serve agents to its customers faster, including several users from the same customer working at once. Dave reviewed an AWS Fargate design with dedicated session containers, the storage choices, and how sessions behave during a deployment. SETT's engineers used that review to confirm or change the design, then implemented it in full.

SETT’s team owns priorities, architecture decisions, and production approvals. Dave handles the DevOps and infrastructure work end to end, from planning and architecture to implementation, with a forward-deployed engineer accountable for every change.
That human support changes what SETT is willing to hand over. The team brings bigger requests, and deeper work, than it would give an agent alone.
